Google Maps is updated on Android with some visual changes

In some cases with forceful changes, and in others, as is the case of this version of Google Maps, with visual and minor operating conditions Changes that users without a critical eye or who are less frequent to this map tool will not notice, but that seek to accommodate the operation and make it fast, useful and simple for everyone.Something that completes this application even more.
This is the version 7.4 of Google Maps for Android, and although there is no official changelog, the folks at Android Police has been able to discover these minor changes and improvements. One of them is the modification of the zoom gesture with a single finger A really useful function, especially for large screen terminals, that allows you to zoom in or out view after making a double tap on the screen and leaving your finger glued to it The change is that now when you slide your finger down after double tapping, the zoom increases, just the opposite of what happened in the previous version of the application. And vice versa if you swipe up.
In the same way, the reaction of the gesture when sliding two fingers across the screen has been changedPreviously, swiping with two fingers parallel to the bottom gave you a perspective view of up to 45 degrees, and you could go back to top view if you swipe up. Now it is the other way around, following a clearer logic that the user will master in just a couple of uses.
Along with these issues, there are also minor visual changes in the Explore section , that is, when the search bar of the main screen is pressed. Issues that we have not been able to verify in the Spanish version of the application and that could be yet to come or that would only affect terminals with version 4.3 of Android Thus, Google would have used the uppercase for the first letter of each category of place. Also, you would now use a background image to highlight the navigation section. A visual touch on a screen that to date had nothing more than a gray background.Along with this background image, we've also included new icons to highlight sections and categories, and a More menuwith other options to find places of interest for the user.
In short, minor issues that result in a use or, at least aspect , improved from this charismatic map application. A cartographic tool that has changed a lot in the last year after its complete visual redesign, and it seems that it will not remain static for much longer. The new version of Google Maps has already started arriving in the app stores Google Play from different countries, including Spain, so it is possible to download and install it.
