Do you want to edit an image from your Xiaomi mobile and you don't have any app installed? Don't worry, you won't need it, since the MIUI gallery has interesting options to edit your images, screenshots or photos.
Although most of the editing tools are inherited from previous MIUI versions, we will find some new options, such as a filter to change the sky of your photograph. So open the Gallery of your Xiaomi mobile and we will take a look at its best editing tools.
Filters for landscapes, portrait, food, sky…
Filters are one of the first options we look for to give a special touch to photographs. And in the MIUI gallery you will find about 43 filters to apply different styles.
You will see that they are divided into different categories, so depending on the content of your image you can try the suggested filters. For example, let's try filters that allow you to change the sky in an image.
To do this, you just have to choose the image you are going to edit, take the Edit icon and in the tools menu choose Filter >> Sky, and you will find six filters to give a sunny, cloudy, sunset, among other options.

To view your image before editing it as you make the changes, just click on "Original".
And if you want an automatic feature that enhances your photos, then go to the Beauty Mode tool, with options for food, landscape and portrait photos.
Cut, rotate, change perspective and more
If you simply want to resize your image, or rotate it, you can go to the Cut tool.
You will find the basic options to change the size of your photo taking into account the most popular formats. So if you want to upload an image to Instagram you can go through the MIUI Gallery and choose 1: 1 so that it is the typical square photo. And you can give your image a plus by choosing some of the options that you will find in "Marco".
Or you can change the perspective of the image by combining several options, for example, choosing a size and rotating the photo a few degrees. You can see some examples in the images:
On the other hand, if you want to improve some aspects of the image, such as brightness, contrast or focus, you just have to go to Settings (in Gallery, following the same steps as before) and you will find different options to adjust these details.
Remove objects and remove blemishes
If you want to remove an object from a photo or erase a small imperfection, you can use the Delete tool.
You have two ways to do this depending on the type of elements you want to delete. And you can use the slider so that the tool covers more or less with each stroke. If you go through the process calmly, you will have excellent results.

Add text, squiggles, and shapes
If you want to give your photos a personal touch, you can focus on two sections of the gallery: Doodle and Text.
In the first section, you can add geometric figures, directions, draw or write by hand on the screen. And in Text you will have the classic dialogue bubbles, or the Watermarks option that allows you to add text as if they were a banner.
These are good options also if we take screenshots, since it allows highlighting part of the content or adding text in a very simple way.
Stickers, rain of hearts, flowers and stars
Do you want to give your photo a fun touch or add some effects? Then take a look at the options you'll find in Emoticons and Mosaic.
You have more than 100 stickers of all styles… bubbles with phrases, flowers, characters, and yes, also the typical rabbit ears. And to give it a plus, go to the Mosaic section, which allows you to add elements (flowers, hearts, etc.) just by sliding your finger on the screen. Here are some examples:
And, on the other hand, Mosaic also has two interesting options that allow us to add a slight blur over the area where we slide our finger, and pixelate areas that we want to hide. Or if we simply want to give photography a touch of creativity.
